You wanted me back. I'm back. —John Wick
Iosef killed his dog and stole his car. Santino D’antonio burned down his house. The Adjudicator excommunicated him. Marquis destroyed the Continental and killed Charon. But most importantly, God took his wife from him. Therefore, there will be consequences. Even for God.

Are you familiar with the story of Job? God took away his wealth and family. Then his friends blamed him that he must have done something bad to deserve his fate and they encouraged him to disobey. Similarly, John blamed himself and his past deeds for his wife’s departure. He left his past life for love, for his wife. Consequently, he was not “that” man anymore. However, circumstances invited him to go back to his old self. So, you wanted him back, he is back! But, with a twist. Now he kills for his freedom, not for the High table. He disobeys. But he disobeys to the High Table, he stays true to his new self, to love, meaning God. This loyalty was symbolized with the dog.

He killed Iosef. He killed Santino D’Antonio. Because he killed D’Antonio, he was excommunicated which is equal to death. But still, he didn’t stop. He killed the Elder. He killed Marquis in the end and got his revenge. And he obeyed the rules. But what about God? How do you kill God? John himself was a god-like man who didn’t die in the whole 4-chapter movie in spite of the world being after him. So how do you kill god-like John? By accepting that he is not an immortal. So he dies. Reunites with his wife and becomes “a loving husband”. He leaves his immortality, his god-like power for his wife, for love, yet again. If you had ever wondered about how John’s first impossible task was like, it was probably similar to this one.
If you ever wished that there would be Chapter 5 and John Wick would come back out of nowhere and saga would continue, please keep calm and accept that he died. Or have you also thought that he is immortal?
So, that was my perspective on John Wick. Ta-ta.
